Sherry Wang serves as Executive Vice President in the firm’s Taiwan office.
She has over twenty years of experience in office administration, personnel management and recruitment in the United States and Taiwan. She resided in New York for many years where she worked for Procurement and Services Mission, a purchasing agent serving various industries. Serving as Manager, Sherry had oversight of office administration, human resources, accounting and purchasing. She returned to Taiwan in 1991 and joined the Consumer Division of Bristol-Myers Squibb in Taipei in charge of office administration and marketing support.
Sherry entered the field of executive recruitment at the beginning of 1995 when she became Research Manager of TAO Taiwan, a regional executive search firm that was established by French and American owners in South Korea and further expanded to seven Asian countries. A year later, she was transferred to TAO Taiwan's MCI Division as a Consultant in middle management recruitment. TAO was acquired by Heidrick & Struggles at the beginning of the year 1998.
Sherry left TAO Taiwan in the spring of 1998 and became a founding partner of EMS Consulting where she served as Vice President recruiting senior executives. During her time with EMS, her recruitment focused on the healthcare, retail and financial services industries. Her experience covers a wide range of top executive positions including business, medical, IT, financial and administrative functions. She has successfully managed more than one hundred searches for senior executive positions in Taiwan and mainland China.
Sherry received her education in Mass Communication from The World University of Journalism in Taiwan. She also studied fashion merchandising in New York. She is fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English.
